It has come to my attention lately from a number of sources that the avatar situation is getting a bit ridiculous. When you link to an off-site avatar that contains full-motion graphics, be considerate and conscious of the file size and bandwidth required for that file. Even though the linked avatar is off-site, stick to the DeJA requirement of 110x110 pixels, and PLEASE watch the content. A number of parents have PM'd the BOD about not wanting to have to explain certain avatars to their children who LOVE to sit with them while they surf DeJA.
The BOD will watch the usage of avatars and delete those not following these simplest of considerations.
