I hear ya. Next camera purchase is going to be a point & shoot (unless I get a great deal on a Canon 5D MkII). Either the Canon S110 or the G15. Looking for something to take scuba diving next year but want to be able to shoot in RAW and have manual controls.

I have a 10-20mm and love it. I use it at car shows, landscapes, just about anywhere. Can get up close and still get everything in the photo I want

Since there are no landscapes, I will add this one that I took the other day while in the Cedar Swamp Wildlife Area. I resized it to fit on the page better.

Got board at the ballfield. Hand held shot with the new 70-300mm IS USM lens. The stabilization is great an such a huge improvement over my older 70-300mm.

Another from CHSP. It was raining, shot this from the drivers seat of the Jeep in the parking lot at the point. Not great but not bad given the weather, time of night and available light.

What was your aperture set at?
Could increase it to f16 to f22 and drop ISO as low as possible.
I definitely like the second photo, the blurred motion of the water is great.
Is that the stream in the back yard?
Was hoping to get out to Bombay Hook or Prime Hook and get a picture of some Osprey or an Eagle for this contest, but time, work hours and car accident screwed that up
Little pasture next to the house (my neighbors yard to the east). Mom and baby miniature horse. Mowing grass yesterday and saw about 8 cars stop to take pictures.
That picture was taken in April shortly after he first appeared.
