I had a D35 in my ZJ with 31's. I broke two shafts in a two year time frame and I was BEATING on it when each shaft broke. You'll get mixed reviews on your question and usually they won't have much positive to say. Then again, you go on Pirate and there's guys on there wheelin' with 33's and a Super35. I say go for it and see what happens. If it becomes and issue swap in a TJ 44 and call it a day.

Sell it if stuff can stop falling off of it... Drove it Saturday night and one of the flare's "blew" off.

I thought someone on NAXJA posted up how to swap a Durango alternator into an XJ.

Haha, no Jeep for me either. Put for sale signs and buffed it Saturday. Rewired the factory e-locker in my Tacoma so I can use it in 4hi instead of only 4lo, extended the breather tubes, put in my head unit, and assembled my struts so I can lift it sometime here shortly...

Buy an auto... I use 4hi only and engage the locker in my Yota. Don't stop so much. I try to do everything in my power not to slow down for anything.

Where abouts in Bear?

All i know is rumor had it they're damn expensive

Save yourself the money and buy a box of 3M07747 scuff pads and do the prep work youself. Even taping everything up... then save at least $150.

I could do them Saturday.
-
Start with the usual check list: Balljoints, TRE's, wheel bearings, trac bar bolts being tight...
-
You could tell you buddy to forget it and buy mine for another 3k
-
Start soaking everything in PB Blaster or Kroil now...
-
You should just buy the AEV Highline Hood kit or whatever it's called and throw 35's on it with no lift.

Here's a build thread from Expedition Portal. For those into camping and random travels it's a well organized and very informative site. http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14395 Scott Brady, the owner, is also one of the designers for the ER JK. I believe the one in this build it the first one. He publishes a magazine called Overland Journal and has a company called Expeditions West. In all honesty the guy has a killer career and some SWEET rigs to show for it. Check it out!

A kid here at work just traded in an 04' Rubicon with 60k somewhere up here in New Castle. It had a Teraflex kit on it and a new set of 33's when he traded it in. They only gave him 12k on trade in! He said it's now sitting on the lot for 18 and some change.

PepBoys have a sale once a month or maybe more on it by the tub...

My first Cherokee was on 32's and a 3.5 RE kit. Had an OX locker in the front w/ Yukon shafts and the 8.25 with Dutchman shafts and a Detroit. I NEVER had a problem with the rear set up but imploded the front on multiple occasions. Just lock the rear in yours, don't worry about swapping things around if it's just an occasional wheeler just go for ol' reliable and keep it simple for now and save some money and drop it on a Clayton LA kit or something more DD friendly.
