The guy that owns the CJ is a bit older and the last I spoke to him he was needing some help. He wants to get it out on the trails one last time before he decides what he is doing with it. It had to be pulled out because the county came by and told him he had to move it or tag it. So we went over and helped him get it out. It pulled out with no issues. I am hoping to get an update from him here soon on how things are going. It was supposed to be heading over to his mechanic the last I heard.

Hello and welcome!! I changed out my front bumper it was not to bad and mine is a 2012. They are not the hard to change out. Like mentioned above you can find them on FB market place pretty cheap. Its the labor to change it out at a shop unless you can do it yourself or find some friends that have the know how to do it.

I know I’m late to the party but have to second what Skmack said. I went with the Alpine iLX-670 and it is awesome! Got it from Crutchfield and gave the extra $70 for them to do the wiring and send it to me plug-and-play. Soooo worth it. I had a little hiccup with the Steering wheel control but gave them a call and in 5 minutes was up and jamming! Skmacken id really like the link to that mic. That’s the only shortfall of the iLX is the mic it’s, meh. On the phone it’s great, noise cancellation is pretty good but if you try hands free Apple CarPlay it doesn’t hear you. Hope you find what suits you best!
Touch_of_Grey Here is the link it took me a bit to find it.

Been trying to trade out 2017 Cherokee Latititude but we are so upside down in it. That has made it nearly impossible to trade it.

I went to Crutchfield after having the stinger in my Wrangler for a few months I did not like it at all. It froze up quite often and would never stay connected on Bluetooth. I had someone recommend the Alpine ILX-w670 and I am very pleased with how the radio sounds. I will say the instal kit that crutchfiled has for the radio is less then Ideal it leaves terrible gaps around the radio. So doing some research I found this kit and it is a perfect fit barely any gaps around the radio. https://www.scosche.com/2007-d…wrangler-chrysler-sebring I spent around 500 for the radio and all the wiring kits that I needed and even with a few extra ones I added on for the sirius antenna. There is also a company out there that makes a microphone that replaces the one in the B pillar. I am trying to find the link to that one. It works better then the stock one did.
Always willing to meet up if you want to check out the sound before you decide but I would fully stay away from the stinger radios. Alpine does have a radio kit but it is very pricey and I just thought the look of it was a little off in the Wrangler.

The wife and I will be making it this year!!
-
Anyone run the stubby bumper and have taken it through inspection?
-
I know this is a bit late and I hope you have gotten out since this was posted. But I will add that the wife and I did a 101 class with Off Road Consulting. It was a lot of fun and Kyle is great. It was hard for us this year trying to meet up with the club to do one of the trail rides so we went this route. It was worth every penny. offroad-consulting.com - Off Road Driver Training, Winch Training

How did you make out with the bolts? In the past PB blaster and or some torch heat does wonders for rusty bolts on a jeep
It was not bad getting the stock bumper off but the tow hitch that was another story. A lot off PB blaster and a saw zaw. Since my torch is not working and I couldn't find the angle grinder tools. But got it off after a two day fight. Here is some pics as to where it's at now.

Tried getting the rear bumper mounted up tonight but those bolts on that stock tow hook they were rusted beyond belief.
-
I took these off wanted something different if anyone wants them let me know you can have them. I also have the front stock bumper if anyone is interested will have the rear available here shortly.
-
Well its coming around nicely at least I think. Rock sliders added too it about a week ago. Now to get the rear completed just gotta get the bumper mounted up. New Rotors just got here and break pads.
So far added
LED headlights, marker and turn signals.
Rear Led tail lights updated the spare to match the rest of the wheels and tires with a new 3rd brake light.
Stubby f front bumper and winch and Hood latches.
Quadratech mirror movers and New pull handles.
New ILXW670 Alpine head unit and Midland MXT575 GMRS radio.
Rugged ridge rock sliders.
