Well...seeing as hers is a 2000, has been on 35's alot longer, and she's had it longer than you some would argue that you have the same as her...

However.... I painted the CJ Yellow back in 1999, way before yellow Jeeps were cool, now it seems that everywhere I turn, I see one.

I do think that it looks great, of course I would, so how do you all like the new MTR's?

going back to the cool factor...

But Seriously one of the reasons I went from CJ to TJ was I didn't wan't to go thru with the motor swap.

I had a crate TBI 350 and SM465 in my junker truck ready to go in (I had motor mounts and most of the other stuff lined up)
But I knew that it was going to be a never ending project...

I thought it was a great turn out! Family and I had a great time. I was glad t see James showed up with his boy and pop. Glen and Jace along with Chris came in the convoy. Yes Jace won something, not sure what though. I know he got a 50 dollar gift card that his girlfriend and Chris were fighting over. You all know who won that fight! ;D Anyhow, I will post up some of my pictures later tonight...

:laughabove: LMAO... I was there with "Dan74"... yes I am short and he is tall, but he is only 4 years older than me... I'll have to bring this up next time we get together... his wife will get a laugh!

Weather wasn't the best, but it was a good day, I am sure that the others can verify.

For a first time event, it was pretty well set up, things could have been done better, but they did a good job overall.

I got 3rd place in Modified TJ, Glen got 2nd in Modified CJ and Lance got 2nd in stock CJ, "GetNby" got first in his class! and not sure if Jace won or not (sorry) I was preoccupied...

    here are some pics...

    Installed the OX dif cover.

Pressure washed the outside, underside and engine bay.

adjusted the toe in (1/8" in) and caster (5 degrees)... recentered my steering wheel!

ready to win some big prizes in NJ. lol

    <a href="http://www.delawareja.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=23510"><img src="http://www.delawareja.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=23511" alt="Copy of PB150307" /></a>

Picked up a diff cover that I got from Ian a few weeks ago, a friend powder coated it for me... and it looks sharp!

    before

    after

Any imperfections are in the metal itself... (it has smashed many a rock and even chopped off a toe (long story))... Cory does an excellent job P/C and I couldn't beat the price.

leveled out the front end a bit... installed some 2" spacers (thanks Keith) and took out the factory isolators and OME isolators...

I think that the OME springs are only pushing 1.5" of lift, cause there is no way that I have 2.5" springs, 2" spacers and 1.25" body lift...
either way it works... I put in some bumpstops on the bottom of the spring pad in the front also... PITA

oh and when I thought I was done... last step, bolt on track bar... the bolt stripped out!
replaced it with a bigger bolt that fits way better, possibly the cause of my shimmy... we'll see.

Got my video done, uploaded it to You Tube, but they cut my audio... anyone know how to get around this?

Fixed the Audio issue... if anyone wants to know the fix PM me.

i wouldn't ignore the TPS sensor. it left my stranded on the side of the road. Got pushed home.

I am not ignoring it... I replaced it 5 mins ago.

swapped in new TPS, started it up and the check engine light went out... great, but the code is still there.
So if the TSP was the issue, the code should clear its self, Right?

if not then from what Quantam73 said, I may have other issues... I will keep an eye on it.

What tire pressure are you running?

25psi, I did the chalk method and the line wore pretty evenly. might try 22psi and do it again.

I checked the caster and DS was at 3.5 degrees & PS was at 4.5 degrees.
I evened them out at 4, that was really the best I could do with the cam washers.
put the angle finder on the flat spot inboard of the lower shock mounts and the degrees are in negative (top ball joint behind lower ball joint)

driving around dover I tried to hit every pothole and bump on the road, at different speeds from 40-50mph

there is still a slight shimmy, but it is really only noticeable at 45ish and when I hit a bump... shimmy for a second then gone.
no where near D/W and not constant like before with the 33" MTZ's
