Just did a 1 inch cheapy lift, blocks under leafs in back, coil spring disks in front. like it so far.
always stay away from blocks on leafs. especially if your leafs are tired! i would switch out to a shackle lift in the back sell the blocks.

started fixing the XJ t-case linkage problem! milled a new tcase lever. ordered 1/4" heims drilled and tapped some alum rod. it will be nice to be able to get my jeep in 4 low again.
i doubt it would be so hard
they have an airsoft
just pull the fuse on the abs and be done with it. i have never owned a jeep with ABS.
good luck sounds like you have your work cut out for you. can't wait to see pictures
OH i though it was #1 Just Empty Every Pocket #2 drive over curbs and snow piles at the mall #3 add chrome for the extra HP...
i know you guys on here have your don't wheel alone rule. but some times you can be in a situation with out anyone and need to be pulled out. i'm a boy scout so i believe in being prepared. since we live in a world where people are afraid to stop and help out. if you slide into a ditch a winch (or hilift and some straps) will keep that rescue worker from having to trek out to you in bad weather or to a remote back road. AAA is only so good.
i agree with the lunch box locker and a hi lift with straps. and maybe a come along. its a lot cheaper and your vehicle will be more capable. hi lifts are a great multipurpose tool. i would forget about skids until you are going into situations where you are chancing a blow to critical items.
like turtle said
build the jeep up for what kind of wheeling you like or to upgrade as you fix what broke while wheeling...
jeep accessories are just money and weight. so buy what your going to use or need. if you feel you need a winch go for it . plus they do come in handy at random times around the yard
since it was brought up one of the best m416 trailer builds i have ever seen
pretty cool thanks for sharing. 1 jeep for every 23 that would have been cool seeing all those jeeps unloaded!
i thought it was odd that ford was mentioned before willys since they got the first contract
Lexan MR
it does not scratch as easy as plexi. they use it for the bus stops were there is a lot of graffiti. it also resists paint and so on
i would rough the surface with sand paper. clean it well and i always do a final wipe down with denatured alcohol no mater what i used to clean it. its all about your prep work! oh make sure the paint you getting is meant to spray on plastic. some paints are more flexible then others so it won't crack when you bump the panel. that's why fearros always are missing paint on their bumpers. they used the wrong paint.
was it sitting for a while maybe there is debris in the alt cause random seizing. causing a drop in voltage and slippage. take the belt off see if it feels like its binding at all im a little. but really it sounds like your going to need to replace it
thats a new technique
right on thanks for the idea i was not even thinking about the inside fuse panel
just drive over to autozone they can check you alt in the car for free
yeah i know im going to power it from a switched circuit that is not used. to trigger a solenoid.
pics
the head does not look like anything hesco sells. i want this motor in my Cherokee! check out the everything looks in order except the manifold face . it looks like they shipped him a partially machined head.

oh yeah that would be nasty.
i wonder what it sounds like
well i have the relays right next to the power block so i just made a short leader to the batt for now. but i want to wire it into the power distb block.
i want to combine all my relays and extra fuses here i hate seeing all the exposed wires everywhere
