I'm thinking the reason for the check engine light and parking brake light not functioning is because the ignition switch is bad.

last night after doing about 30-40 donuts in a Buddy's field, my 1991 yj 4.0 just died and cut off, now when i turn the ignition on, the check engine light is not coming on, i put a timing light on it and its not getting any spark, i also put another ecm on it and still had no check engine, i think it is the ignition switch inside the steering column, but I'm not 100% sure and i wanted to get some opinions,

finally i got to drive it last night! the motor is so smooth but i cant say the same for the transmission, third and 4th seem like they dont have snycro's at all, so let me know if anyone has an ax-15 laying around.

i know your pinion seal is leaking so there might be something wrong with your yoke, i know the seal leaks when the pinion nut is loose and also when the yoke its self wears.

I had some time to put some new flares on since that slave cylinder deal is holding me up. I got them off justin, and he got them from meeper for free!

lately his jeep has been throwing u joints, usually about once every three months, so we are pretty sure its from the rear.

ok i got everything in last night at 2:00am, i mean everything air box vacum lines, everything and i got to bleed the clutch and it pumps up then all of a sudden looses pressure and brake fluid starts leaking from the bellhousing ....so i woke up this morning and pulled the transfer case, exhaust and everything back off to get the tranny out and ordered another slave cylinder.....so it should be back up and running by tues.????idk

well you got a different trans then me (you have the 6 i got the 5 speed), im sure that would make a difference but idk, all i know is when the gps says 70-80 my jeep is screaming!
