Can't really put much stock in 1 tank. Too many variables.
I'm not. It was all highway. Just interesting

I had to drive from PA to Sourthern MD for training so I got gas right before I got on I95, reset the trip. Drove all the way to the gas station in front of my hotel. Divided miles driven by gallons added and was amazed at 23.9 miles per gallon. It is a bone stock 2001 cherokee. It was stricktly highway miles but I have never seen more than 17.6 with it.
I have the same issue with the relocation brackets on my YJ. I like being able to see the passenger mirror and it's definitly a safety issue.
The lip of the tray the battery sits in should keep it in place as long as the clamp across the top is tight.
Tracks looks like fun. Tugboat needs to get a couple sets on the road for the ETV. I just want to know whats with the cherry bomb stack?
I have the same issue in my 2001 XJ. Is this system prone to leaks anywhere in particular?
Also, with 33" tires and your 4cyl motor, you'll need to regear your axles if you plan on doing much highway driving. You're looking at $600+ in parts, plus installation which could range from $200 from a buddy or $1000 from a shop.
If you ran a 10.50 wide tire you can pull off not regearing. It will seriously lack highway pull but it will work. I've driven one set up that way. It wheeled in 4lo just fine but only did 0-60 in ten minutes downhill with a tailwind.
That much lift will look goofy. You will need a 35 at least to fill the wheel wells some. I'd wait to put it on till you had tires.
PA requires 2 mirrors, DE only requires one. Every state is different, DE lets you get away with more.
correct. I should have specified in PA.
You can buy cap tape at any auto parts store. It will work too
Yes, you just have to make sure the view is unobstructed.
not true. You are required one side view mirror also. That's why the mirror relocation kits are so popular on wranglers. I also understand the law that if your vehicle came with it it needs to be there so doors are required, wranglers too. They do have a nut holding them on from the factory. CJ's are the exception because doors were an option.
My guess is they let wranglers go because they have a sill that would keep items from falling out of the vehicle.
Good stuff!!
Was the issue documented at the time of sale? Any manufacturers warranty left
There is an wider 8.8 that was used in the F-150. I don't know if the spline count is the same but I did have a buddy swap one into the rear of his ranger when he put a D44 under the front. I would guess it is a 31 spline.
Check this out... It is your same debate.

You could always rig something up with a small brass ball valve from a plumbing supply. What's wrong with an electric one?
What is the going rate for an axle rebuild. I think I paid almost 400 to have my 8.8 rebuilt.
I would be interested in buying it. Where are you located? Any chace you could send a pic to lms373@gmail.com or txt it to my cell 484-274-9492
This is just going to be a crusier while the YJ goes back under the knife if I don't sell it first.
I am planning on lifting one of my Cherokees. At what point in lift height will a CV type shaft and sye be required? This will mostly be a street wheeler/mild trails. I wheel the YJ hard. Was thinking about a 2-4 inch lift. Probably a 2 inch lift and cut for TJ flares. Trying to keep things cheap. It is only a 92 beater but when I install the 4wd I put in the lift.
