We didn't roll anybody from Deja last year except aaron when we tried to put him on a really hard bonus line. I still think it was fun, and even with the course as hard as it was, there were ways to get around dangerous off camber situations.

I'm from Jeepforum and I'm gonna do some serious rock crawling.

I have an '03 rubicon with 30k miles on it long-armed I'm trying to get rid of. Just trying to convince the mom to let it go

Shame we didn't get pictures of Andrew towing my friends audi s4 back to aaron's when the shifter linkage went. It was a late night recovery.

Completely depends on the inspector. Your setup looks like stock there is no way anybody is going to fail you regardless of their mood.

Maximum Boost is a must read. However, I would still advise against a turbo for crawling. If you want to put in a lot of time and learn things then go ahead. Maybe you want a turbo for daily driving the jeep? I just find it interesting that most of the guys I know that have the fab skills to make a turbo work have some serious rigs and trailer them everywhere to crawl where a turbo wouldn't help them anyway?

Saw you and the jeep in person today behind prices corner. Looks really good!

Make sure you get a throttle body spacer and a nice new intake for some serious power gains.

Just make sure they are stronger than your axle shafts . You are going to want to go deeper than 4.10, especially if you increase tire size in the future because then you would have to re-gear again.

Should be fairly easy if its anything like the Tjs. 2 crown nuts with pins through them and it drop out. You will have to get new pins as re-using them isn't the best idea but they can be bought at any ace hardware.

Thats not even possible Jen.

I think the courses were designed very well for trail only vehicles being trailered up to RC at max tech for class 2. Taking a cone to avoid a dangerous situation was part of the comp. However, I do think that the difficulty of the courses scared away potential newcomers to competition. I went into the competition my first time knowing that rolling was a possibility and did not care. Somebody who has to DD their jeep or drive it home would never want to compete at that level of difficulty. The objective of the club comp needs to be clear. If they want to make it very competitive and set up clubs for RCrocks, then they should keep it where it is. If they want to introduce new people to the sport and give them a chance at competition, they definitely need to tone down the courses.

Was really hoping to throw down with you mike at the comp. Sorry about the trans. So much you have done to the buggy and the truck since I've seen it last. Are you still coming up to the comp to watch?

Toyo M/T on the man-made concrete are hilarious. Its like street grip. Switching to Krawlers though for actual rocks.

Ed should have this covered from big dogs last year

Mom got a truck to tow the thing around
Dropped it off at the garage to begin work for comp. Lots of regular maintenance to do. -
Think we will roll up pretty late on friday night since my brother has a late show. Just dropped the jeep off at the garage today to do work. 2 weeks to get that thing ready for comp.

Maybe clear up your intentions a little bit? Do you simply want the 35's for aesthetics and going on the beach? Are you going to go to RC at all with this? If it is strictly a street jeep that will go to the beach every now and then, the cost difference between the sport and rubicon really might not be worth what you want the jeep to do.

would definitely be cool to have a challenge like Bill said. Add a little extra fun and some incentive to move around the park.
