As long as my work schedule permits we (me + 4) will be there. Had a great time at the last one! I also wanted to add a big "Thanks!" to the folks that are leading this effort!

Must have missed you guys. There was a white Wrangler on the beach but wasn't part of the group.
My wife and I did pick up a bag of trash. Nothing unique or interesting mostly plastic caps and bottles. Traffic wasn't bad either since the triatholon was on the north bound side. The wind was pretty intense so we only spent about 2 hours on the beach. Hopefully will catch you all if we do a Fall clean up. -
That is a little early for my little one. We probably won't be able to make it down until around 10:30 or so.
We are leaving now. We should be there around 10:45 or so depending on traffic. -
Id say try to be there by 8:45 . Like to making our way to the surf by 9.

Love to hear interesting tips and facts about my jeep, so if you know something, dont be afraid to shout out. If you ever need some help, i may have the day off and am willing to help on anything jeep.
Take care people, and live free.

Fresh baits are good but the new gulp artificial baits have been on fire.
Any idea which Gulp has provided the best results? -
Well I had hoped to come down but we lost power at midnight and still don't have any. Have the PC hooked up to the generator right now since the fridge finally stopped. Well there is always next time. Good luck.

Awesome! Glad to hear it went to someone who could use it. I will mail you a set of rainbow unicorn sheets that my youngest daughter uses if you want. LOL

Just posted this on CL. Would be willing to accept $50 if a current DEJA member could use it.

The most expensive additives in paint are the UV inhibitors. These provide the protection from "chalking" of the paint and delamination from the substrate (in this case the hard top) when exposed to the sun. The fact that rattle cans are so cheap makes it clear that there are minimal or lower quality UV inhibitors in them. They are great products for many applications. However, if you have the money and want to do something that will last as long as possible you would want to use:
1st coat- Adhesion promoter- Many plastics are impregnated with release agents for the molding process. Paint inherently will not adhere to these and the adhesion promoter will help provide a "bite" into the substrate for the basecoat and also act as a barrier from the release agents
2nd coat- Black (or whatever color you want) basecoat
3rd coat- Clearcoat or flattened (low gloss) clearcoat- The clearcoat is what provides the UV protection and long term durability. There are additives you can place in the clearcoat to reduce the gloss and create a flat black appearance.
The above products would be sprayed using a gravity fed gun (cup on top) and a 1.2-1.4 tip and needle. You would also need a clean and dry air supply (oil/water seperator on the air line).
It is more work than a spray can job but, when done properly, will last the lifetime of the vehicle.
Just putting my 2 cents in as a "paint guy".
