I love my new soft top and I'm never going back to the hardtop......has the tinted windows. I smoke, so the white inside has some
yellowing, but not too bad. There's a few minor nicks at the rear corners, but nothing that's very noticeable unless you're up on it.
If interested, let me know and I'll send some pics... -
Finally got it on, by doing just what Jerry said....evenly both sides, and I still had to let it sit overnight partially unzipped. The sun helped the next day.
But the thing that still really perplexes me is I had to take the back brackets off to get it to fit. It's almost like the rear panel isn't wide enough. -
Anyone running these that has had trouble getting it to fit?

Yeah the 5.38's just feel right with the auto an my 3.8L turd of a motor...lol

A big hearty thanks to Aaron for regearing my ride . Learned a lot. Now I just need some skids and I can actually go on a trail ride.

What happened to it? My wife's been contemplating a Wrangler Unlimited and I told her to stick to the 2012 and newer due to engine problems.Apparently it has burning oil internally and I didn't know it. 4 weeks ago, I got an oil light. I parked, let it cool down, checked the oil and it was 2 quarts low so
I added 2 quarts. Then while driving to work this past friday the engine started knocking real bad and shut off. I had it towed to my friends shop where
he was able to start it again, but it's still knocking really bad so I know I can't drive it. I'm sure if I do it'll throw a rod out the side of the block,
or seize and then I will have just added 8-10 hrs labor to changing the engine. My friend said it was 4 quarts low. I had no idea it was using that much oil that
fast.
I wish there was some way of throwing one of the old 4.0 engines in, as they are alot cheaper and better engines anyways. -
My engine just went on my JK. Does anyone know an economical way to get another one? Most of the prices I'm seeing
for a replacement 3.8 are running around 2000. If I had a money tree, I'd do a hemi swap, but unfortuanately I just
need to get it back on the road as cheaply as possible. -
Soft top, tube fenders, OBA

I can swing by sometime today if that's good.

I'm interested in the freedom top bag..... Bought my JK used and never got one.

Where you plan on mounting the 6" sub?

New shoes on the jk....37in Nitto Mud grapplers. Surprised at how little weight they took to balance up.

You guys always make me laugh.....because God knows that's how you're supposed to take off-road obstacles...fast....lol. "if you're suspension won't get you over, momentum will"....lol. -
Interesting how the CV shafts on the front of that rig are the same size as d30 axle tubes.
LOL.....exactly. Some schmuck with a money tree growing in his yard finds a way to make IFS stout, but still can't resist the urge to chrome the CV shafts......lol. Says it all.

I know IFS/IRS can still be somewhat offroadable.....but it still doesn't seem right...lol. Maybe I'm just a sentimental, old-fashioned dwebe...lol
