tip for the future........... use a little lock tite or take a small drill and run it through the nut peice and insert a carter pin
-
check the rear trackbar as well.... i know on mine the bolt is a little loose and it makes a squeaking / rattling noise.....

were you the first jeep in line at the light ?

Let me know if you end up doing it without the SYE. I've been looking at the JKS 1" plus motor mount lift and have the OME 2.5 springs. I get mixed opinions as to whether or not I'd need the SYE and drive shaft. To add to it, I have an automatic and the t-case drop that came with the OME kit.the body lift should not have an affect on the drive line angles at all .... I'm currently running the 2.5" ome with the JKS 1.25 bl and 1" motor with no transfer case drop .... i do however have a slight vibe around 65...

t/t = tummy tuck / belly up
-
I would probably say yes for the SYE but i'm not an expert. but think of it like this the budget boost is 2" and the belly up is another 2" so esentially it would be like having 4" lift which most of the time you need the SYE..... maybe andrew could chime in some more..... and correct me if i'm wrong

yes. more than likely you will. How much lift are you at now? the body lift wont have an affect with the sye but the belly up will. Typically, you can really get away with out doing the SYE and doing a belly up on a stock height jeep. but the benefits of the Belly up are great...
for example, if you have the 3.5" lift, and the belly up it would be like haveing a 5" lift clearance wise
-
usually you have to do at least a 1" BL in order to do the belly up skid.... I would recommend the JKS 1.25 bl with the 1" jks motor mount lift. I would not recommend going any higher the 1 - 2" max because it sets the body off the fram which could allow the body to move around slightly and if in a accident, it could be very bad. The other reason why I dont care for the 2" bl is you tend to notice it more and your see a big gap in the front of the jeep and the rear.

don't gut the cat, get a new one ::)Not only is it a federal offense but the whole obd system works on the assumption the cat is working and you can foul your O2 sensors without it..... Not to mention engines run better when there is a proper amount of backpressure from the exhaust.....hey i was just curious.
-
how do you gut the cat? also will it throw codes? cant you take the cat out and saving for when you go back through inspection and just put it back in?
