Hey Keith, we bought a cherokee as a replacement. We have 4 of us down there most of the time and the Cherokee makes it easier for 4 of us to get around when it's raining, and not get wet. Lol It's worked fine for many years but figured since we bought the cherokee we don't really need both around.

Just wondering if there's any interest in this before I scrap it.
Runs fine, no headliner, couple of dings and dents and rust. Frame is good. Has matching tires to go with it and a tailgate. $500 takes it. It's in Felton on our farm but we do have a title for it. Hasn't been licensed in years so I'm not sure what it would need to pass inspection. Everything seems to work but the defrosters.

I had a 3" body lift on an 85 Dodge Ram D100 with a 6 ft bed and standard cab. I had someone run me off the road one time and I went into a drainage ditch. Slid in it for about 40' before hitting a concrete drainage pipe and stopped dead. Sheared off 2 bolts on the body lift on the bed of the truck. Had to go get new grade 8 bolts and I ended up replacing all of them because I was worried about the strength of the rest of them. I agree on the 3" body lifts looking bad but back then I wanted height for cheap so I went with 4" blocks in the leafs and 3" body lift and stuffed 38's under it. Shimmed the pinion and extended the drive shaft and called it a day. Drove like a tank though. Lol Just saying, I could see it happening worse since I wasn't going very fast and sheared 2.

I'm with you Dave! 93.7 has THE strongest signal of any station I know. I can get it from anywhere it seems. Problem is, they play the same 10 songs over and over and over and over again...... Sucks! Lol

Just a thought that may or may not apply to you! I have noticed when I have a cell phone charger plugged into the cigarette jack that my radio reception drops in half. Just a thought!

Hmmm Been a long time. I'm thinking it was in 2002 when Mackenzie (my youngest daughter) was only about 4 months old (Christmas time) that we were at AI duPont with her. She had some kidney issues that have since been resolved. One of the nurses brought her a toy and put it in her crib with her. When we asked about it, they told us that a great group of Jeepers brought toys for them every Christmas and they were free to hand them out as seen fit. He thought she'd like it. I started asking around and found out that Paul (Wanderlust) who I worked along side of in my job, was part of the club. I had just bought an 00' TJ and him and I started talking Jeeps and Jeeps for Joy. I wanted to be part of the club that provided toys for those kids. I know how much it meant to me to have a stranger give my kid a toy at Christmas time. So I joined and the rest is history. I don't own that jeep anymore but I've never let my membership in the club run out. Over the years I've enjoyed helping run JFJ and the club and LOVE seeing others step up and take charge of it. I've gotten to meet a lot of people that I call friends and like knowing that most, if not all, members of this club would bend over backwards to help another person out. It's truly a great group of people. Seasons in life have left me unable to be as active a member as I used to be, but someday I hope to be able too again!

My insurance agent told me that mine was covered offroad also. As long as it was not in a competition or race (Lol).

I think it's INSANE what people pay for these things. Is it new? I bought my TJ for $13,000 with 12K miles put about $7,000 into it and it would do everything a Rubicon could do and more. PLUS I wasn't afraid to get a scratch in it. For that kind of money, I'd NEVER take it off road. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the JK's but would never buy a new one!

So stick to stock size just get a good mud tire? Body's in pretty good shape, don't want to hack it up just yet! Lol
Don't think I want to lift it either. Just for driving around the farm and getting deer out. No need for lift.

Bought a 99 Cherokee tonight for our farm in Felton and had a couple of questions for you cherokee guys. Without any lift, does a 33" tire fit or only 31's? For you DE guys, how do I go about registering a vehicle I bought in PA to a Farm truck in DE?

    Thanks

By the way if you have a set of decent mud tires around that will fit this, let me know.
