Isn't Colorado east for you these days?

    Haha

What size tank is in yours? Your 'full' fillups seem pretty small...thought the 38gal tank that I have was standard.

Yea, it's the 29 gallon tank. I ended up filling up with around 20 gal +/-, which was usually between 250-290 miles, a good solid time to be on the road between breaks, imo. The "Full" designation means I filled it to the same level (to the top) as prior so I could calculate an accurate mileage. Partial just means I added gallons, I could've never recorded a partial and summed each partial up to equal the next full but it's easier this way. You'll see that the average mpg for each consecutive partial is the same since it is still considered the "same full tank". The 7.3 has a venting issue in the tank, which I never cut down, so when the pump clicks, it has 6 available gallons left in it. I typically stand there for 8-10 min topping off those last few until I see fuel in the filler, and know I'm at the same level. Those 6 gallons mean a lot out west when there's over 100 miles between exits with any type of service (lodging, food, fuel).

It's the "baby" tank but for pulling one car it's plenty. I'd like to add a 15 or 30 gallon tank to it (or to the trailer) but it's really not a priority, I think a bigger cooler or the aftermarket (electronic) exhaust brakes would come first.

I should also add that over time the fuel gauge has seemed to "shift". The needle is beyond the F when Full, and above the E when empty. Found that out the hard way. So I don't drive longer when the gauge reads above 1/4 tank because it is likely well below 1/4 tank empty.

All in all it was a lot cheaper than I expected and prepared for.

Hi - figured I would throw some numbers down for my trip out west. I wanted to set up a time lapse but never made it, oh well, I will have lots of pictures of actual wheeling instead of driving though!

From driving coast to coast and stopping in CO for a few days of wheeling, my diesel stats are:

Average mileage: 11.47mpg (odometer) 11.67 (gps)
    Total Diesel cost: $774.57
    Total miles: 3,287
    Total gallons of diesel: 286.629
    Average price per gallon: $2.705

I didn't stop at a scale, but I have usually weighed in just shy of 14k but I was also loaded up with stuff from my house including my full set of mechanics tools etc so was likely several hundred more. With tongue weight, the front rose by .5 inch and the rear dropped by 1.75 inches.

I wanted to mention how impressed I am with the old truck, it handled the CO passes with little to no drama. Going up was easy, once it got out of overdrive it had enough in it to accelerate if I wanted it to. I could smell the brakes at the bottom of the hill, but it would be hard to want a car payment :)

In either case, I have some video of us tackling some obstacles, some pictures with my DSLR, and I had set the GoPro to snap a pic every 10 seconds so I will post up over the next few days.

Day 1: Holy Cross. We stopped in at Silverthorne, CO for a night's rest, then continued on to the trailhead, which is on US 24 between Minturn and Leadville. The jeep trail went up to 11,800 ft high and there were some beautiful overviews.

Here's a video of me struggling up Cleveland Rock (end of Holy Cross trail). A toyota took a trail nap just prior and made it pretty slick, otherwise I'd like to think I would've made it up the buggy line that I started on.

Day 2: Chinamans Gulch. We continued on to Johnson Village for the All-4-Fun event, luckily the hardcore trails were across the road from our camping spot. A real fun and challenging trail with a lot of scenery.

    Camping:

Day 3: Carnage Canyon. This was a serious trail that rivals any rock garden we have on the east coast. Everyone had to winch on at least one point. The loop back home was shared with Chinamans Gulch and likewise shared many beautiful sights.

Day 4: Mt. Princeton. We hit CC a second time so some of us could finish it for the first time. I walked it with the DSLR and got a lot of shots. Then we finished off the day with a scenic trail up to Mt. Princeton. We got over 12,000 ft and the trail continues on for hikers.

Is the track bar front or rear? adjustable or fixed? The bushings are shot in mine, the mounting hole is wallowing out, and it's pretty beat up. If it's for the rear, I could definitely use it.
I'd also take the come along too, if deadfeat doesn't.

It's been long enough that I forget what they look like, so here's a better picture. If it's a front, I also have a RE front track bar bushing kit, still in packaging.

all stuff is free for pick up. I have no use for it.

TJ rear lower shock mount relocation. Brand new, had to cut open box to see what was in it.

    TJ rear seat brackets.

TJ stock coil spring spacers. These are brand new, because I bought too many back in the day. They are the front stock ones, also fit the back, and add just a tad more than 1/2" of lift. I used this method to supplement my springs after a few years and ensured I had the correct length shocks.

Brand new, never used, Come Along.

TJ Seat belts (rear i think)

Dana 44 yoke with bolts. was a spare that I never needed. Brand new.

    TJ track bar

Roll bar padding from jegs. flame retardant, moisture resistant, impact padding.

oil catch pans (I have like 6 or more).
