Does anyone have a set on their Jeep? I'm looking to get rid of the factory steps but need something with a step for my wife and kids. How far passed the bottom of the Jeep are they? Did you have any problems with them? Do they actually protect the rockers while wheeling?

Is this something just for the 3.6 motors? Or should I be worried about my 2011 with 3.8? I'm at 20,000 now.

I ordered a set of the Hawk LTS pads. I'll look into the NAPA slotted rotors. Thanks.

Since I started buying new cars in 2000, I've never had a car long enough to need new brakes. My Mustang had over 50,000 miles on it (I even delivered pizzas in it). So I don't think I'm that hard on my brakes. I just think these are junk. My fronts still have 80% pad left.

I was informed today that my JKU with less than 20,000 miles needs rear brake pads and the rotors need to be machined. So I figure I may as well just upgrade to something a little heavier duty to help stop the 35" inch tires better. I'm thinking I'll do the rear now and the front when they need it. Any suggestions?

Will do.

Didn't see that. Sorry

I saw a few jk's at the JFJ event in Dec. with the factory flares cut. I've been thinking about doing it to mine ever since. I didn't notice then, but I'm curious what to do with the inner part that protects the engine compartment. Any pics would be nice.

I didn't think it was that bad. They only had a day to do it and $10k isn't gonna get you a lot when you're paying some one to do it all.

The first time they put new piece of foam on the passenger side doors. 2nd time they put new weatherstripping where the soft top meets the windshield. The last time they had to do all the doors and re-seal the firewall.

I had mine in 3 times in the first year for leaks in different spots. The last time I took it in they said it was their most expensive leak repair they ever paid. Lol

Just sold a pair so that leaves me with the set of 3 still for sale

I ordered some stuff on Friday morning and got it Saturday. I didn't think I would get it until at least today

I ordered new slim lights for the top of my Jeep because the bigger lights don't work real well with the soft top. I'm selling the bigger ones. There are 5 total. A pair and a set of 3. Asking $50 for the pair and $75 for the set of 3. $100 if you want all 5. Each set comes with the switch, harness, and relay. They're the 100w. Not HID. I just need time to take them off and get the new ones on.

I've had state farm for 25 years and have never had a problem with any of my modified vehicles. I had a modified 2007 mustang with 50k miles that they paid a $17000 repair bill. Maybe it's the agent

Guess I should have posted that I found one. Thanks.

I let my daughter drive my JKU. I will say that I pray every time she leaves the house. We don't have the funds to buy her a car and neither does she yet.
