You have a vacuum leak . When the butterfly is open it is getting to much air , that is why it is staying running whit it closed .

I would go back to stock on that 2.5 . Not worth the $ you will spend on a header .

I have them on my cj , I have had them for almost 4 years now . They ride ok , and flex good for a set of leafs , but I have lost close to 1" of height do to sagging .

Just do what I did to my Excursion cut the cat and muffler out and weld in a strait pipe .

A new flywheel will be around $100 or so .

I have had the fusion paint on my jeep for about a year now . Has held up well .

I would start whit the battery terminal's then check the ignition switch .

All of the old ford from 65 or so to 79 had them the jeep waggoner also had them .

You can get the serp. belt from most truck supply shops . I got mine from cumberland trucking for $ 97.00 + tax . I got my York from a yard for $50.00 tank was $15.00 pressure switch $35.00 25ft of 3/8" hose $20.00 .
