It's a 91 YJ, lifted about 3 inches, running 32 inch pro comps about 11.5 wide. As far as gearing, unfortunately I can't be sure, but I have a set of 4.88 gears to be installed in the next few weeks. Aaron has already installed the 4.88 gears in the ford 8.8 I bought for the rear. There is also a limited slip in that. I am hoping that will help. It is definitely squirrelly on turns. But it seems like when I hit the gas, the back starts sliding. Do I need more weight in the back? Maybe sand bags?

My Jeep seems super squirrelly when I drop it in 4x4 in the snow. Is there something I should or should not be doing when I drive? Should I keep it in front wheel drive?

I had the same issue with my YJ. I drove to the hard top, then removed the soft top and installed the hard top. What you will likely need is....
1) At least one more pair of hands2) A portable impact driver with the proper adapter and bits. (This makes the job a snap IMO)

I also work rotating weekends, so staggering works well for me also.

I gotta get a chance to drive the Pete!!!! Looks awesome!!!! LOL

I would just switch tires with someone for inspection. I have some 32*15 pro comps you could use.

Did you get it all settled. I would be glad to help if you need it. I am in Pike Creek. I am no mechanic, but I can definitely play one on Television!!!! Let me know.

I googled it!!!

I am planning to mount my antenna on the drivers side rear tub above my tail lights.
Once I get the antenna installed, I may take one of you up on the SWR meter if CB joes or R&R don't work out. BTW....... What is R&R?

I am looking to install a firestick antennae on my YJ, and the research I have done tells me that my antennae needs to be tuned. I have to measure the SWR of different stations........etc. Anybody have experience with this topic? I have a cheap cobra CB. Do I need to run a ground wire to the antennae. I am using a firestick L mount.

Got a brand new spool a ford 8.8 I believe it is 31 spline. Looking to get $150. Was going to install it on my 8.8 build, but decided to go a different way. Now I just want to offset some of the cost. Interested in YJ lift stuff, 35 inch tires, or high steer parts as well. Thanks!!!

I found some TJ soft uppers. They fit great. Thanks!!!

I have definitely been flirting with the idea of soft doors, but I put the hard top on to have something a little more substantial between me and the elements (over the winter). I feel like soft doors kind of defeat that. Maybe they insulate better than I think. On the other hand, it will motivate me to finally relocate my mirrors!!. Thank you for the link deadfeat!!! I may take you up on testing your super top uppers.

Well I have a jeep YJ, with a TJ hard top. Sooooo........ Idk how to answer you deadfeat. Lol!!!

Welcome!!!! Have you considered lining the tub of your jeep?

Still available?

Hey everyone,
I am looking for a set of round door uppers from a jeep YJ or TJ. Hard doors or sliders would also work. Any color will work. Thanks everyone. -

Aaron, I have had multiple people tell me on this forum that you are the person to talk to about regearing my 1991 YJ. I joined DEJA, but still cannot gain access to PM. Is there a way to contact you in the interim? My name is Joshua. I have a ford 8.8 rear with 4.88 gears for the Dana 30 front and the ford rear. All need to be installed. 8.8 is already broken down. Also has a brand new locker. Could you shoot me a text? Four-1-zero-6-six-0-seven-4-eight-2. Or jrwallace@bithgroup.com. Thank you sir.
