My 98 tj has 180k on what I'm told is the original clutch. It's starting to give a little more effort to get into gear. I recently replaced the worn bushing where the rod meets the clutch pedal. That took up some play but it seems the pedal still has roughly a inch or so drop before it has any resistance. Once on the floor and in gear it starts to move as soon as the clutch pedal begins to come up. This issue of somewhat harder shifting has just begun. The fluid level in the reservoir is OK. Any help from the nice helpful folks on here? Thanks

What brand are you going to use?

I've done it on a my old yj. It's not that bad I'm going to have to do it on my tj now but I'm going to try a different brand. I used pacesetter before. Only thing I suggest is re checking bolts after starting the engine. They may need to be retorqued.

Dan111555 I sent you a message and thanks Luke but xj's won't work.

Well tbh I saw Daystar has a 3" spacer kit including shocks. 4wheel parts has for around $350.00 so unless I find a better deal or someone tells me the shocks are junk then most likely I'll go with that kit.

Sweet so which is recommend more a new spring or spacers? I'm not a big fan of lowering the tcase so when that time comes I'm planning on tucking it!

Hi folks I currently have a 98 tj that's stock with the exception of a set of 31's. I'm looking to be able to run at least a set of 33x12.5/15 tires. I'm new to the coil sprung jeeps as where my previous one was a leaf spring set up. When I bought this jeep it came with a new in the box performance Accessories 1" body lift. If I do use this I'll be adding a 1" mm lift also. Could y'all experts give me some options for suspension lifts to fit a set of 33's? Thanks

Hello folks! I'm new here and am a proud owner of a 98 tj. Currently its a 4.0 5spd with a set of 31x10.50/15. I'm interested in learning about lifting it up and any other neat tips and tricks for these. I currently live in the eastern shore of Virginia so maybe I'll get to meet some of y'all some day! Thanks
