I have a 48 cj2a that that wore out the gears on both the fly wheel and the starter. I have another engine with a good fly wheel that I want to swap out, but it has a 12 volt starter. I'm trying to find a 6 volt starter to install in this engine until I repair the original mill. Another option is to just replace the gear on the 6 volt starter but I don't know if I can replace just the gear. I'm not interested in converting to 12 volt yet I just want to get it running plus it's a good way to see if the other mill still runs.
