'89 Cherokee wont turn over.

I finally got a patsy to come and turn the key while I listen to the starter relay. I was all set to here a 'click' when the engine started right up. So I turned it off, and tried again, started up. I don't really know why it's starting now, but I hope it keeps doing it. But just in case, I'm going to keep that jumper wire in the glove compartment.

have him do that and keep your hands on the top of the relays, and see which one it is for future!!

some starters have dead spots, and when u smack them with hammers its spins it and well could of been your problem.

I was thinking that, but I jumped the starter with the key in On a few times. And it still wouldn't work with the key for a at least 5 times.
