How was Paragon Yesterday?

  • Did anyone win any of the raffles? How many people were there?
    Any Pics?
I really wanted to go but had other things I HAD to do.

    Former V.P. (2006-2007)
V.P. of Jeeps for Joy (2004-2010)
President of Jeeps for Joy (2010-2012)
    Beater Build Winning Driver (2009)

  • I went up with my daughter yesterday. It was cold, snowy and packed. Haven't heard an "offical" number yet but it was around 500 vehicles.

My long streak of not winning any raffles was not broken. :idiot: We got there around 8:30am and the line for registration was pretty long. Made it though and down to the staging area and proceeded to wait. It was cool to see all the vehicles there and nice to hear a speech from Kyle. Because it was so packed, the lines and trail staging was alittle chatoic. I walked around most of the morning looking for other DEJA Jeeps, but couldn't find any. I did hang around some other Delaware guys though. Two guys in a K5 Blazer and a 2500. (Maybe your neighbor Joo!)

We ended up going out with a group that was running high blues. The snow and ice made most trails tougher than normal. I ended up having electrical issues. My battery wasn't getting charged, so I ened up stalling and not being able to crank it over twice on the trail. After getting jumps from Blazer man and holding up everyone on the trail for too long, we managed to get a escort to the staging area. I made it back to my Envoy and hooked up to head home.

A short, cold day, but I'm glad I made it up to Paragon. Let's hope they get something worked out, because that's a great place to wheel.

  • Yep, thats my neighbor. You ride with them?

  • Yea, Nice guys. Helped out a fellow wheeler in need.

    Joe

Heh, good to hear. Brian (2500) and Jamie (Blazer) are cool guys....hopefully i can convince them to come up to RC with us sometime. Only problem is that 2500 is a boat.

Glad you had a good time.

  • The snow and ice def made the trails alot harder. i was running high blues and had to winch myself alot because i couldn't get traction to save my life. Overall was a good day except the fact i no longer have side steps and my tire carrier is bent. Alot of people had ended up with some sort of trail damage.
