Trail report Sat. April 5th 2008

  • Wayne (Daddanelena) and I met up at the staging area and proceded to the comp course and then to L3 and tried the new trail back to the staging area. We then proceeded to B and ran the short loop of black 5. This is where Wayne was coming out of a bowl and popped the new alloy axle (not very exciting, but that's it). Unaware of what happened we headed for the west property, down the power line to hit 18-A. Before we got there we ran into an awesome old Bronco (Trik Pony) escorting a stray TJ to the Blue Mountain Jeep Association group. As it turned out the TJ had punched a small hole in his oil pan and we nursed him back to the staging area. From there the three of us hit B to 2 and on the section before Crawler Ridge, we all know the spot from the trail damage link, I caught the left rear tub on the "tree" and Wayne's winch helped me out. During lunch we figured out that Wayne's right front tire wasn't playing as part of the team. We jacked her up and confirmed it. Bill (Trik Pony) convinced Wayne to "just run 13". This turned into 18 and Pizza Rock some black and blue sections leading to13-B at Rock Creek. We did black 16 to 11 and ran 15 to J to 12-c and worked back to the staging area. BS, air up, drive home. Great day. See Ya'all soon

  • Good riding with you Bill, maybe we'll hook up again. I think I got the afternoon trails pretty close, but with the logging and missing trail markers who knows. If I missed something feel free to add it in.

Randy, only thing to change was, we did 13 to 11 (not 16) then 15 and so on. Wayne busted a axle? I blew out a tie rod end, taking the pony in today for the work.

  • wayne, you wheeled all day on a broken axle? :o
