YJ 20 Gallon Plastic tank

Has anyone replaced a stock 20 gallon plastic tank on a YJ that was reasonable in price? I can only find one part dealer that has a replacement poly tank for $599.00 and custom aluminum tanks for 600-$1000. Has any found them cheaper anywhere? Can I replace it with a 15 gallon ploy tank and just change my sending unit?

Thanks, but I realy want to go with poly so I don't have to fix this again. I have had many problems with my current tank. I found a few on Ebay and a buddy on the jeep forum relayed that MTS company has a direct replacement. I contacted them and can get it for around $280 with a new gasket and staps. I may go that route so I can be done with this and move on to the next project.
