I have confirmed that wheeling in the mud pits near Ft. Mott is in fact illegal. This is a map of the area:
The light colored area just to the NE of Ft. Mott is the dredge dumping ground. Since this is west of the mean low tide line on the NJ side of the Delaware River, it is considered part of Delaware, not New Jersey, even though it can only be accessed by vehicle through New Jersay.
The confirmation was provided both by the New Jersey State Park rangers at Ft. Mott and the Delaware State Police. It is rarely patrolled by the authorities, but it is still illegal.
Therefore, please do not post any additional rides to this location as the Delaware Jeep Association does not condone illegal wheeling.
