136 amp

    I got to upgrade my alternator today
    I installed the 136 amp I got off of Ebay


    I am pleased with the way it worked out.
    During a test drive the electric fan came on several times
    and the power never blinked. :up:

    I have been thinking about an Alt upgrade. usually at night I run with standard low beams and My fog lights. they are the newer high intensity type (blue/yellow) and they draw alot of power from the XJ. I can watch the draw when I switch lights on and when switching from Highs to lows I see another draw. the draw even effects other dash board readings. even the oil pressure drops even going 60mph.

    do you have a part number or something.. I may look into doing this since I might be running a plow on the jeep this winter.. I guess I could also use it when I put the winch on... sometime soon..........


    did you have to upgrade any wiring??? or is it plug and pray!!!!
