hood question

i replaced the hood. and when i used to pull the release it would pop up like 3 inches like most hoods do.. but now it doesnt and i have to pull it up. once i pull it up it stays in the "poped" postion. is this some thing to worry about. or just deal with it. it doenst seem to raddle when driving i just dont want it to fly up while im driving

sounds like some of the mechanics are worn or stuck.. not sure about how the hoods are latched over your gerble wheels but usually there are a primary and secondary system.. the primary is usualy the one you pull the handle for.. the secondary is for when you reach under the hood...
with a new hood it might be misalighned or need some lithium grease on the movement points.. id be happy to take a look if you want... or give you some more details on what to look for on alighning it.. let me know..
