How do I know what transmission I have???

    I have a 1997 Jeep tj 4.0 with the 5 speed manual..Is this the nv3550 which I think cam out in 2000 or the ,AX5, AX15,did Chrysler use others??

    You would have the AX-15. The AX-5 was used in the 4 cylinders.

    Correct, in 01 they change the AX-5 to the NV1500


    00 they changed the AX-15 to the NV3550
