    thats the brand new one

Yup... I've got some "bling" hang'n off the a$$ end of my Jeep! :spinrhead:

I am going to have to work on the other four some time probably when it warms back up.
[quote author=M/T Customer Support]Another option is to use 000 steel wool and WD40 to remove the corrosion, washing, and then polishing the wheel to restore their luster.

I am going to try that at some point.

I took mine to Pete's Garage. They came highly recommended to me and I was very pleased. Since then my brother took his Camaro and friend took his Jeep and both where also very pleased. He is also very knowlegable about Jeep off-roading and setting up a Jeep properly to do so. Tell him I recommended you.

I JUST purchased a MFG AT and MT wheel and the best price I could get was from Ron's Discount Tires, 1702 Naamans Rd., Wilmington, DE 19810,302-475-4000.

He did not have the cheapest price on the tire but came in $10 less then DE Tire on the rim. So if you are looking for just tires then go to DE Tire down in Newark. If you are looking for a set check with Ron.

If QT or 4wd would give us the 10% discount on Tires/wheels they would have really great pricing but they can't because there is no markup. Or at least that is what I remember reading somewhere on here.

Does anyone have this kit? ??? If yes what do you think about it.

I'm looking for some more gitup and go with the 35s it's a little less then what I want.

Currently I have this CAI and I don't like it for three reasons.

    1. The airfilter is DIRTY and even with the K&N cleaner it's not getting it much cleaner.
    2. Replacement filter costs like $48 (Pep Boys and Autozone versions will not fit the pipe it's like a 1/2" to small)
    3. The filter is right over top of the engine and although that keeps it away from water it just sucks in hot air from the engine.

    What are your thoughts....???

If you think there is another kit that is better what is it?

napa's polish and alot of elbow greese worked for us on it.

this was for a beach trip. about 30 min on each wheel the day before.

I don't know if I have enough energy for that. I'm still nursing this broken ankle back to health. We'll see what I can do Saturday for those of you that'll be at the DeJA meeting can see if I made any improvement.

Mtrs looked nasty on that thing

That is the picture that made me want this Jeep so bad! ;)

they sell disc break conversions for the rear drums just look on the net or in the back of a jeeping magazine thats where i see them the most.

Mine has the rear disc convo on there. I have 35s and it stops well enough.

[RANT]When you do it don't forget to do the damn e-brake.[/RANT]

Yea I looked into that as an option. But there were three problems. 1. Shipping was like $19 for the rim and $25 for the tire. 2. I would have to lug the wheel / tire to the shop to have it put together. 3. Mounting and balancing was like $20-$25.

When you take all of that into account it was so close that it was not worth the hassle to do it myself.

also, if you don't plan on working the spare into tire rotation then maybe an 8" version of the wheel would've helped out? cheaper price and it would've tucked in tighter to your jeep as well.

I wondered about that. Wouldn't it end up hitting something on the brakes or something up in the wheel well?

The rim/tire has been ordered! I ended up going to Ron's Discount Tires on Naamans Rd. He was able to do $179.95 for the tire and $149.95 for the rim mounted and balanced out the door. That beats DE Tire for the package by $7.60.

On a side note I emailed M/T about the discoloration and their customer service also recommended that I use the Mother's buff ball and Mothers aluminum polish which I think I have some at home. I will let you know how it turns out.

I had 5% all the way around on my Civic. I wouldn't recommend that for ANYONE. I got a fat ticket from a Wilmington Cop. I guess I deserved it. :bang:

OK thanks everyone I am going to go ahead and place the order with Delaware Tire. They seem to have the best price.

I have the same wheels and the polish faded quicker than any wheel I had ever seen. Get a Mothers buff ball for your drill and they will come up like new. Get the small buff ball because it fits inside the holes.

I was going to try this on Saturday.
