Your current hoses are probably emissions or EGR connections.

Just replicate your current hose connections on the new intake.

The Warden's Cherokee needs a set of tires. Anyone have a decent set of stock tires in the garage they'd like to sell? Looking for a 225/75/15 or 235/75/15.
Thanks for your time.

I am currently running a single in/out fuel filter, summit racing fuel pressure regulator, and a Weber carb. I ditched my stock filter with the return line and went to this setup a couple of years ago with no fuel problems since.

I know a guy with lots of tubs and frames..Send me a PM with contact info.
Thanks for all the help.

Forgive me if I've missed this in the previous posts, but might it be your timing? I've have my distributor loosen up and rattle itself into overly advanced and causing problems. I'd imagine a broken vacuum advance could also cause some issue.

My '87 YJ tub is getting more than a bit rotted out and I will be starting the hunt for a new tub this summer. What is the hassle (if any) to transfer VIN numbers on my title with the Delaware DMV?

Thank goodness. I'm tired of falling down when exiting my YJ...

You install a 2-1/2" rough country lift kit and end up with 4-1/2" of lift.

Go to the hardware store an buy a 5/8" female fitting repair kit for you garden hose and a bottle of CLR. Disconnect your heater hoses at the front of the engine and install the hose fitting on the smaller hose. Attach your garden hose and turn the water on only about 25%. Let it run for several minutes. When the water continually runs clear, disconnect your garden hose and dump the bottle of CLR into the large heater hose. Let it sit for only a couple of minutes and then flush everything out again with the garden hose for several minutes.
The key is to NOT open up your garden hose the entire way.
No guarantees but the above method is what works for me.

What is the timing set at?

The bolts should have the rectangular nuts.
Regular nuts work fine. You'll want to use a socket and handle to reach them under the lip.

...I've seen impellers break off, but its always been the garbage plastic ones never a metal one like in a 4.0.Just for sh!ts and giggles, I pulled the water pump...
Hey, from this angle it looks somewhat normal.
Holy Cuisinart, Batman!
Needless to say, I replaced the water pump. I also replaced the radiator. All is now well.

XJ radiators are also well known for getting plugged up, and not cooling, Just a thought. The XJ cooling system is very inadequate as it is. Any blockage to the radiator is a major blow to the hole system. Also did you replace the thermostat. It could not be openingAndy
I did replace the thermostat. I thought it might be the radiator, but that wouldn't explain why I have no heat to the heater box. As far as I can tell, it is a lack of flow, either a bad pump or airlock.
