heh, sorry Rock...looks like we'll be getting a room and heading up Fri night. We just tried getting one at the Hampton and it's completely full already, so we're at the Comfort Inn just down the road. Should be a good time anyway.
Opie
I'm at the comfort inn too. We are planning on heading up on Sat morning.
Anyone wheeling Sunday too?
I haven't met most of you guys yet. Besides recoginizing a rig whats a good way to meet up. -
I cleared it once and it came back on during the next trip.

O2 2/2 Shorted high. Oxygen sensor input voltage maintained above the normal operating range.
What does that mean? Do I need to replace the sensor or do I have another issue. This is in my 2001 Cherokee.
Thanks

Keep in mind you may have vibration issues after you install. Sometimes it is necessary to install a slip yoke eliminator and cv drive shaft.

The F150 I went to look at was a piece but I found a really nice low mile 2500 for a good price. I may pick it up Monday. Anyone want to trade a trailer for a 92 Cherokee?
-
I'd never buy a 2wd truck either. A stuck truck with a trailer is the last thing I want. I've seen 2wd trucks stuck on wet grass. Not how you want to end your weekend of wheeling, trying to get your tow rig out of the field you parked it in.
-
I doubt a dealer will go for test driving with a trailer.
-
have you test driven anything? I thought the 5.4 f150 felt gutless even without a trailer.I've pulled a skid loader a bunch of times with a 2wd F-250 that has the 5.4 in it. It pulls great. That's why I'm asking this question. How does the 150 do. I imagine the fx4 does as well as a 250 as it has the same tall gears as a 250.

I went in all the way from under the dash with a combination wrench. Like I said it hurts. There's lots of sharp things up there. Been a while but I'm pretty sure the passenger side was easier.
-
My YJ had nuts up there. It hurts but your hand will fit with wrench. Get your girlfriend to get her hands up in there. I drilled a couple out. Either way you will still have to get a nut back up in there

I test vehicles for the military so as far as properly payloading and tying a load down I'm good. My big question was more in regard to how well a half ton truck handles when towing close to their GCVW. Do they feel way under powered?
-
That's petty much what I expected. The FX4 does have tall gears tho. I just can't commit all the cash to a diesel that won't get used that much.

I have been looking for a truck that will pull the jeep on a trailer. This won't be a daily driver. I keep coming back to the 2004 and newer F-150. It has the capacity but I was curious how others were making out. I'd prefer to have a Diesel truck but can't foot the high price tags. Extended or crew is a must as the dog travels everywhere with us. Help me with pulling the trigger on something.

Hardtops are really nice in the winter but the soft top will only be useful if you have a place to store the hardtop. My brother bought the same setup about two months ago and still has yet to get the soft top. They are on back order apparently.

I wanna go just for the t shirt

Thats my junk in the background. I was two behind Neil. He and I convoyed up for the day on Sat. Even with the heat it was a good time. -
I have the 4 inch RE Standard kit. It has been on the jeep since 2008. Still isn't sagging. I have to say if I was to do it again I would spring it over. It rides really rough now and doesn't flex that well. Thats why I never got rid of my stock springs. Eventually I will redo it.

I will be day trippin it up on Sat. Maybe I'll bump into someone. I too debated leaving the yj home and just take a Cherokee. I'll look for the flag.

I used a fine steel wool on mine before but they aren't that pretty anyway.
