I feel the same way. But looking back when the first GTO was made in the 60's I'm sure some felt the same way; powerful motor in a sedan was useless. But the idea stuck.
I owned a 66 GTO. Muscle car days were priceless. To each his own.

Overkill IMO. Where will that help off road. My X3 is pretty quick for a SUV no need for anymore.
What does a mag that mainly features sports cars and luxury SUV's know about Jeeps.
Well done, congrats.
Great video and history of the Jeep. American ingenuity and determination at its best. Thanks for sharing.
I agree
Quadratec sells a good polish and cleaner. Use good microfiber towels only, no cotton. cotton will produce small scratches.
Executive auto body near Elsmere bridge. He has been fixing my vehicles for over 30 years. Fair price and excellent work. Ask for Mike (owner) Mention my name, Ray Scott. You won't be disappointed. POS people that hit and run.
2010 here. I really like it. No BS or drama like another site I used to be on. Jeep talk mostly and that is why I like it.
I have Dutatracs on my Tj. No issues yet.
Let's see, I am 71YO and my TJ has 75K on it. I put about 6K on it a year at the beach so when it turns 200K I will be 91. Looking forward to getting a 91.
Joined in 2010 after I got my first Jeep (TJ) Everyone is very helpful in giving advice on issues relating to Jeeps. I have used this advice on many occasions and it has allowed me to enjoy ownership with my 02 and now 03. I also like the charitable nature and unlike another website I frequent the discussions are mainly focused on Jeeps and there is much less drama. I'm almost 71 and feel young again when I am wheeling with my Jeep.
A pretty nice 89 YJ, now we have his and hers, but hers might be cooler
Good choice, good luck with it.
Today Laura and I decided it was time to expand our family, we are now a mixed family of round AND rectangular headlights
And, it is?
You've averaged 6250 miles each year. If you change the oil once a year, you break even. I change mine at the change of seasons, so I use regular oil. I also use zddp additive.
I change mine every 6 months. I think I will stay with regular oil. What is zddp. Thanks for all of the advice guys.
Nice, I like the color. Burton has a 4 door on their lot and it is very nice.
My 03 Rubi has had only standard grade oil used in it. I have 75K miles on it. Would you recommend changing to synthetic and if so what benefit could I expect.
Now I have a leak at the rear diff. Taking it to my garage next week.
I don't know how to send pix. I took some with my cell phone but feel dumb that I don't know how to send them. sorry.
If anyone is thinking about getting some graphics done these guys are awesome. I had carbon fiber decals installed on the hood of my 03 Rubi at the raised area where the rubber stops, washer fluid nozzle and small tie down handle are. I also had the top of the fenders done. Both of these areas had some bad scratches and paint damage and the carbon fiber decals hid them. They would have shown through a smooth vinyl as they were bumpy and now are now not noticeable. They really enhance the front area and the work was first class. Took an hour to install. They are located on RT.1 across from Hertrich's auto dealership.
