PC Load Letter WTF does that mean
-
I just bought a new chain for the saw.
Should be easy and quick work.
Neon Pirate,
What is more surprising to me is the fact that you cleared out enough space in the garage to be able to back the jeep into it -
Saab isnt really foreign.
It was part of GMedit add
Love that jeep and kudos to the guy driving it.
Thats awesome. -
It's on Page 253 of this thread.
I also finished siping the tires. They came out great.
I'll need to upload a pic to web page so I can link it here.
Seems like I don't have permissions, or this forum has the attachment setting turned off -
I'm in the process of siping my tires. Tedius and not fun, but it will be worth it.

My Jeep has received some serious updates. I am bumping into Class X this year, which should be interesting. I believe I will be the only street legal vehicle in that group.
After destroying my front axle on the last outing, I decided to add some serious beef and clearance. Not only did I break the axle shaft, but the ball joints were toast and the inner axles seals got damaged.
I am at the point where I needed a new axle or get rid of U-joint style shafts. So now, I practically have a new Front Axle. I think the Housing, Carrier and Knuckles are the only things that are the same from the previous month.New RCV Shafts have been installed with new Unit Bearings and the Knuckles were clearances to fit the RCV boot
All Brackets were cut off the axle housing!
New Clayton Tracbar mount that is flipped 180 Degrees to allow for a longer length
It was also utilized for my Hydro Assist mount. (No broken tabs for me)
New Link mount for the sway bar
and the Tie Rod was flipped for more clearance

This required moving the cruise control electronics [Yes my Jeep still has Cruise and Air Conditioning!!!!!]

The group on mostly 40's srarted out on the west side and went down crawl dad to start. Then we made it over to 13 and otters. Somewhere on 13 behind me elff broke an axle shaft and fixed it on the trail as we ate lunch. After otters we made a left to death trap. It was a new trail and not as hard as the name. Next we did a high speed run around to 19 and ran the red loop. Half way up luke's stearing ram decided to leave the axle. It had to be the WORST weld i had ever seen :). Don came up with a good fix and a few minutes later we had it bolted down. Came back accross to cemetary as luke went back to the trailer. After recovering elff and chris we decided to bail them out early and headed back to the comp area for a little more fun and food. It was a cold day but not terible even without heat. Thanks to billy for running out for the food and jeff for getting the door prices.
Aaron
Its kinda funny being on 37s and being the little guy.
But then again, Im always the little guyAs cold as the day started, it ended up being very bearable.
That high speed run was a blast.Loads of fun.
Thanks for letting me join you guys. -
We had a little in our group
I destroyed my passenger front axle shafts.
Turned the U-joint cross into a letter I and sheared off the yokes on both the inner and outer shaft.Spare parts had that back on tne trail in short repair.
Then we had welds fail on the mount for the hydro steering Lukes Jeep.
The gusseting on the front axle allowed a large bolt to hold that in place to get the rig safely off the trail with limited steering. It was a fun day. The snow and Ice made some of the trails extremely challenging.
Im still laughing about some of our one liners -
Jeep is packed
Trailer was picked up
Will be jetting out of here by 6am -
need you a diesel elffNaaaa
I dont tow enough to need one and modern diesels have been hosed compared to the older ones -
Dealerships are weird about that.
I just picked up a new F-150 STX 4x4 [Which does get good gas milage compared to the Dodge hemi I traded in]
and it was totally hooked up with everything tow related
BUT
The brake Controller.
I am not sure why you would have a truck with a Class IV hitch and 7 Pin wire harness and not expect it to need a brake controller.
I added the Ford brake controller as it integrates in a pretty slick way and is installed in the console vs down by your feet

This is how I go to RC from West Chester
Take Rt 100 to the Downingtown on ramp for the turnpike
Go towards Harrisburg
Take the Morgantown Exit I-176
Merge onto 422W
Take the left exit for 222N
Take the reading Airport exit Pa RT 183 N
Turn left onto I-78W
Take Exit 13
Turn right onto 501N
When 501 ends turn left to head into town. unsure of street name maybe Rock?
you will pass a tank
When that street ends, turn right. Maybe Tulpehocken.
Follow until you see signs for RT 81 that tell you to turn left
Should be Molleystown Rd
Right after you turn left you will see a convenience store gas station and Burger king on the right.
At this point you can stop to get food and take a bathroom break. Most people with 4x4s there will be heading up to RC
So if you didn't stop, continue straight up the winding road
RC will be on the left with a big sign.Hope that helps

8am so we can hit the trails at 9am

a Million Dollars!!!
Our family celebrates thanksgiving on saturday night, so I am going to jet the park once we are done wheeling.
So don't worry about food for moi
I will be stuffing myself with stuffing at the rents! -
I know we still have a couple of weeks till the trip but i wanted to find out what route those going up on Saturday are taking. We live in West Chester, Pa and will be our first trip up there. I am sure we can make it there on our own but if anyone was coming through West Chester figured we could meet up and form a convoy. We still need to pay our RC membership so wanted to get there in plenty of time.Mike
