Jerry may have had 8 oz but the problem was it was three weights tied together. Those tend to just tumble along the bottom. I held pretty good with a 5 oz weight.
Eventually it will come to the right about 1.5 inches. I already put to nutserts into the tub but I didnt have the right bolts so I just popped it in with some sheet metal screws. Who am I kidding, it will probably stay like that until and if I ever catch hell from it...
Weather permitting maybe next weekend is a good weekend to test it. Or if its raining we sit in an empty garage and get hammered drunk for no reason.
I used rivets. Been like that for years still holding strong and has a clean look.
Sounds good. I'll probably head back up north to the Navy Crossing afterwards. So as of now 11 am Faithful Steward.
Is this tomorrow? Same question when and where?
Put a surf tag on that thing!!!!
Good luck with the sale Brian. I'm close to putting mine up as well, but can't seem to find where I put that 4 sale sign.
This too:
If two people have a surf fishing permit/vehicle license for their vehicles, can the two people go in one vehicle to fish without a special fishing permit? Also, if they take friends along to surf fish, do the friends need a special permit? Only the operator of the vehicle that is permitted may fish without a license on the beach. Any other anglers will need to have a general $8.50 (resident) or $12.50 (tourist) or $20.00 (non-resident) license regardless of whether or not they have another vehicle permit. The exemption in the code is only for the vehicle operator who has the surf tag.
I think I witnessed this scenario a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't figure out why after talking to the rangers the one dude put his stuff away. Both seemed to be actively fishing from what I could tell. They were both standing at their poles the entire time I was there. Makes sense now, thanks Keith.
Well, I'll be down Tuesday night and out on the beach Wednesday - Friday, Wish I was staying for the tourney but headed to MD Saturday morning. Good luck to all.
I've had the same one for 8 years or so. Still use it today but has a few duct tape modifications. I was going to get one last year but the shipping was too much. Anyway put me down for a solid maybe.
Should have mine back in the slip this weekend. 2 months late, but better late then never.
One white fish and one blow fish. Kids loved it when I scrached the blowfishes belly to make him blow up. Weather could not have been nicer
Sent from my Galaxy S3 with Taptalk 2
Did you keep the blowfish? They are good eating.
I don't know if I am yet. Gotta build some stone steps. Shouldnt take long but you never know. If I do it might be in the after noon... as far as stripers... I'm thinking they are in spawn now. Ao we got a few weeks till it happens again... probably around the spring fling they will be running hard.
Good info thanks...
Anybody heading out there this weekend? Will be down working on the boat unless there is a chance to catch Mr Striper.
Donkey, I bought a stock 02 TJ back in the day... now its not quite stock and gets about 10 MPG on a good day. How does the Prius side of you feel about that?
My next dog as well for waterfowl will be female yellow lab... great dogs.
I don't think Mike listed a date yet
Yep, I see that now, that was a date you said didn't work either.
I'd be up for it, but that weekend doesn't work for me... will def be down for it most other days/weekends.
It never ends... Picked up a seal kit for the sea star, have to schedule for the yearly bottom painting, new plugs, fuel filter, water seperator, wash, wax and then put her in the slip.
I'll have to check if my boat license cover people clamming when we pull up to a sandbar as long as they have a fin number?
