A little history of Cheswold, DE
It began as a result of instalation of Leipsic train station and grew from there.
"in 1888 a contest was initiated to rename the town. The winning selection for town’s new name was Chesswold-composed of “chess” which came from a large group of Chestnut trees near the train depot and “wold” which means forest or trees. The town’s name was later shortened by one “s”."
Now that's a trouble making crew.

In truth, some people have had creative ways of getting through inspection.
Some will have a set of stock tires they throw on for inspecition and hope they doen't get caught having too much space between the top of the tire and fender well (I've heard that could techinically be an issue). Others have gotten (or made) wide flares.
I actually got a verbal waring last year about needing mud flaps.

I think those are the ones I have. Mine fit fine after a simple modification to the metal cone for the light aim adjuster. This had to be done so the back of the LED housing would fit. You don't really need it with the LED housing being metal, but you do need its outer ring to aim your head lights. Easy enough with a cut off wheel. If you want to get all fancy a band saw would be better I guess.
Also I found the plug difficult to push into the CJ wiring plug, bet it went in.
There is a guy in Florida that refurbishes them which is a good option if you can't get one locally.
I think there is another rule about only being allowed to extend flares 3".
I got warned last year about needing mud flaps. ha ha.
Great weekend meeting up with everyone. Nothing like relaxing on the beach with friends.
We will be traveling that day unfortunately. We will miss out on the fun
