Nothing super special about Jeeps that any good mechanic could give it the once over for you. Do a compression check to see if there might be any underlying issues with the motor, change fluids and filters, ....

It was good to get out and meet up with fellow Jeepers again. I believe the count was 25 or so people.
Even saw a STOCK CJ7. Only had 40,000 miles (company vehicle that had been parked many years). Hopefully he will join our ranks.
Someone felt that I earned a beaded necklace since I was the only with my top off (Jeep top).

Always fascinating to watch a good machinist at work. This guy has a few videos or fixing older blocks from Willy's Jeeps, saving them from the scrap pile. Here is is stitching up cracks.

Since the clicking noise seems to associate with load put on the drive train...I'd say take a look at the drive shaft joints, trans mount bushings, axle control arm bushings, and anything associated with drive train alignment.

Years ago a member, Blue Jay, had a tuffy security box in the back of his TJ. I can attest how well built Tuffy's are because he had locked something in it (the key?) and had to break it open. I seem to remember using a pry bar. Can't remember whether or not we got into it.

I'd go with the 392. 1. Because I love the power of that engine, and 2. Because the Bronco is still too new. As much as I love the look I would wait a year or so to see what issues they have.

I just sold a 2008 VW bug with a salvage title for $4200 after dumping $2000 into it to get the engine light to go out. Also needed another $900 repair for something. The car was pretty much spotless, had heated leather seats, and looked great. Had people lining up to look at it. Sold it in a weekend.
The used car market is UP. -

Prices for everything are up. If it's tagged, seems to run well (give it a good shake down run), and has mechanics record of work done over the years then I could see $7500 for the high.. But look under and look for rust, scrapes from possible mudding or goofing off, and of course rust.
