srt10 rear would be bolt in though no mods to make it fit. Plus i has a bigger break setup with it. I just wasn't sure if it was that much stronger that it would be worth it. I guess I have some thinking to do now. Thanks everyone for all the help

Thanks for the how too. I'm not sure i feel real comfortable doing this though. The gears are gonna be hit pretty hard with alot of power so I would feel more comfortable if they were set up profesionaly.

Heres another question you may be able to halp me with. Is the Dana super60 alot stronger then the chrysler 9.25? I can pick up a super60 from an srt-10 off ebay for $700 and it already has 4.10's and a limited slip. If it is alot stronger I may go this way.

Before Tony there was Brian Casper (Mopartech).

He owns Holly Oak 4X4. He does do gears.

That was it he had the yj on full width axles and use to work at Dodge I think. I just couldn't remember the shop name. Thanks Man

Ok I know its not a jeep(this time) but I need some gears installed in my truck and this is the best place I could think of to ask. I was wondering what the going rate for a gear swap is around here if I pull the axle? Its a chrysler 9.25 rear axle out of a 2005 hemi ram if it matters. I know there use to be someone on here that started his own shop doing these things but I can't remember the name of it. Any help would be apriciated.

I just went down this road. I opted to stick with a half ton truck due to the fact it will be going to and from work more then towing. Picked up a leftover 05 ram 4x4 hemi for really good price. So far i've only towed the rig with it once from middletown to wilmington. I'm looking forward to seeing how it does up in the mountains.

:safeyet Wow didn't mean to start all this. it startred as kind of a fun topic, because I use to wheel with DEJA when I had my tj. I met alot of cool people over here and thats the only reason i asked about goin wheeling with you guys in my rover. I know this is a JEEP club, and i'm not trying to join or say my rover is better or anything like that. O well I hope to see you guys on the trail sometime.

Thanks guys. I knew there was a reason I likied the jeep comunity. Hopefully soon I get the rover up and running so I can come out and play. Oh and those defenders sell used for more then they were new so wheeling one of them is out of the question for me.

Jut wondering how you guys felt about non jeeps tagging along on some of your trail rides. Reason I ask is because i'm in the middle of building a Land Rover Discovery to take wheeling, and I can't find any other clubs around that go wheeling as much or have as many diverse groups of wheelers(stock-hardcore) as DEJA. I know I know I should have bought a jeep but the price was right and I wanted to try something different. look forward to getting back into things. thanks

Thanks guys for the help. I'm trying to decide if I want to buy my buddys jeep and keep my car or go ahead and get an 06 rubi payment on rubi would be less. Either way i need another jeep. The bug has bitten hard. Thanks for the compliment on the wj, it was nice but I liked my tj a whole lot better.

Here is some background info. A friend of mine recently offered me his his jeep(2002 tj sport 5spd d44) for a really low price. The only thing is though it needs to go to inspection and it has flat fenders. So I have a few questions for you guys, because i havn't owned a tj in over a year. Has anyone passed inspection with flat fenders? How much do you think it would be to rig some fenders up to pass inspection? sorry for the grammer, and thanks for any help

Saw a yellow tj with deja banner going south on rt71 bye lums pond on sunday morning. I made a full arm out the window wave but got nothing in return. Guess you didn't expect a wave from a vw though. Nice lookin rig though, reminds me of my tj( i miss her sooooooo bad)

I don't think that your gonna find the sound your looking for out of the 4.0, i didn't anyway. I had no muffler, flowmaster, borla, and banks on my jeep at different times, Banks sounding the best. The guys at minakee(sp) in elsmere are good. Ifyougo in theretalk to one of the younger guys and tell him you have cash.
