i'v swapped 5.0's into other cars but never a jeep. I do have a 5.0 ho cammed from a 91 mustang that was re built 30,000 miles ago and is currently in an 84 ltd if your interested you can hear it run.

The door won't clode now? It may have locked itself which is not allowing it to close. Try taking the door panal back off and pulling the rod for the lock. Sorry we couldn't get the whole lock thing corrected tonight with the window. shoot me a pm if you want to stop bye saturday

we used a sawzall to do my budys fenders on his tj. it worked well and didn't make too much of a mess. we also left a little extra and rolled it under so that if the tire got up into the fenders it would be a round surface not a sharp edge. I used a roto zip on the bumpers and other plastic on my wj to fit the 265's. It worked really well, if you are going to cut your bumpers at all i would suggest it.

I just got a pretty good look atthe jeep. It is a d44 rear. it is not offset and the t-box has low range so i don't think its the quadratrac. There is alot of rust underneath, but it looks as though the frame only has surface rust. i'm sure i'll find something though. behind the driver's seat is well the ground. O well for $300 we'll see if i can make a half decent trail rig. I guess i just have to pay the guy and buy a sawzall now.

Thanks for the info. The jeep is a 79 258 with the 3peed. The body isn't in the best shape from sitting but the waggy only has around 65000 miles on it and the has only had 1 owner. I don't think its a bad deal for $300. I need to get back on the trails.

since the tj has been gone for more than a month now i think i'm having withdraw. One of the guy at work keep trying to sell me his wagoneer for $300 and its getting harder and harder to say no. My question is are there any decent lift out there for these things that are cheap. The waggy has an inline 6 258? and what looks like a d44 front.

i'm running a skyjacker 2in lift on my 04 with 32's. It was very easy to put on, took about 2 hours the first time. One good thing about these type of kits it they are easy to remove and put back incase you want to take the jeep back for any kind of warrenty work, just save all of your old parts. That said i'm around newark alot also so if you want to see what the spacer lift looks like shoot me a pm.
