    Looks like Bob is out so we need a 4th. EC4x4 also needs a 4th so assuming slowpoke is in then we could still get one more driver in on the comp. Post up if your interested.

    Alright so there’s been a group of us that have been doing this comp for the past several years and since there are no conflicting schedules we are entering the comp with some of the long time guys. That being said and in the spirit of not counting anyone out. We could definiatly get a second team together if there are more people interested. Please continue to post up if you are interested in doing the comp this year. There is also a fall comp that we run as individuals so there will still be a chance to compete if your interested and your new at this. We also need judges to volunteer so post up if your interested in doing that as well.

    I have a Mr.Heater brand 30,000 btu ventless blue flame propane wall heater. Unfortunatly late night beers and eBaying led me to buy propane instead of natural gas wich was what I wanted. The natural gas one is on the way but figured I’d see if anybody is interested before I shell out shipping to return. Let me know. Rated to heat up to 1,000 sq ft garage nicely. Brand new, never used. I’ll be at the Christmas party and could bring it if that helps for anybody down state. $150 Let me know 302-379-7796.

    Cleaning out my garage and this thing has been collecting dust. I bought it 2 years ago. Was a floor model at a hobby shop but never used. It’s the brushless waterproof 2wd version with the steel gears. Has led headlights and tail lights. Has a traxxas wheely bar on it because with a lipo it barely stays on 4 wheels. Very good condition as I hardly used it. Is setup for lipo but my lipo battery will no longer take a charge. Might be my charger but I’m not sure. The factory battery and charger along with the lipo will come with it. Has upgraded steel rear Driveshaft’s but one needs a pin. Easy to make with a drill bit. Also comes with the controller. I think I paid $250 and it had a bad steering servo wich I upgraded to a metal gear servo. Asking $150. Text or call 302-379-7796.

    Have an eautogrill brand bumper for a jk. Steel bumper in good shape structurally but the powder coat needs stripped off, sanded and painted. Comes with some kc off-road lights that are wired through the bull bar. I believe I have a wiring kit that could go with it . Takes stock jk fog lights and buckets but the holes will need drilled and tapped for new screws. Also has new d-rings. Picture shows new as well as current so you can see what it could look like. Traded in the jeep and put the stock bumper back on it for trade. Looking for $100. Text or call. 302-379-7796.

    Trust me I hear ya. It was built enough for me for a long time but Its not cuttin it anymore. Custom long arm, ori’s, one ton axles, 37’s with a 17” beadlock might not sound like a huge difference but it’s gonna cost me another 6-8k depending on what deals I can get for parts. And that’s with already owning the new axles and having One geared with a locker. I’ve held off for a really long time but I’ve gone through two sets of gears this summer, two carriers, rear shafts, front chromoly shafts and countless control arm bracket repairs. The jeep is built as well as some people will ever need it to be but I like to wheel the most extreme stuff and my jeep may be able to make it through most everything but when you put it through a competition or throw a full day of tough wheeling at it, it’s just not built to take the abuse I like to throw at it. So two options, don’t wheel hard or build it strong as fuk.

    • I’m toying with the idea of selling my jeep and buying something built before I get any further into building mine. If anybody is interested give me a call 302-379-7796. It’s the perfect jeep for someone that likes to trail ride but still drives it on the street occasionally. I wouldent recomend it as a dd unless you buy street wheels/tires and replace all the control arm bushings. I also don’t need to sell it so don’t bother with lowball offers. If no one wants it itll just get built. I do love this thing and never thought I would sell it but looking at cost to buy a built rig vs finish mine and it’s tempting. Here’s some info on it good and bad;

    I’m sure there are other things I’m missing as I’ve been tinkering wth this thing for the better part of a decade.

    This jeep does well off-road. It’s done well in several of the rc club comps although I would not call it a comp rig. That being said. It has seen a lot of off-road time and is not perfect but I also daily drove it for about 5 years up until 3 years ago. It could use most of the bushings replaced and the body has some scuffs and scratches. There is no frame/body rust or rot as the jeep has been garaged for most of its life. It has only been on the beach a hand full of times and power washed every time after. The undercarriage has been coated several times to keep it in good shape. It does have 129k on the odometer but runs like a champ. I would not recomend this to someone who wants to daily drive it but it would be perfect for someone that wants a great trail rig that can still drive down the road. For the right price there is a rear Dana 60 and a front high pinion Dana 44 with a Detroit and 4:88’s that could come with it. 12k would be the magic number but I’d entertain reasonable offers.

    Alright, I added you guys in the rc forum. Aaron and I are headed up Friday evening so let me know when your getting in.

    Ok, scratch the fight idea.

    So we all talked at the comp last weekend, the rcrocks comps aren't getting enough participation but the club comps seem to be doing alright. The fall rc rocks is going to switch to a fall club comp. the difference will be that it will not be a team event. It will be geared more so for class 2's to try and get more people out and we can bring as many or as little as we want. All drivers will score independently but we can still have spotters for multiple rigs and drivers that also spot others. Aaron and I are definiatly in. Start posting up if your interested. It would be cool if we could get a good showing for this. We will also need some volunteers for judging. August 26th.

    Yesterday was a ton of fun. Big shout out to Jbates and Slowpoke for stepping up and joining us. They both did some great wheeling and conquered obstacles that they should be proud of. The mid day rain made for some of the hardest obstacles I've seen in a comp and that was with some very technical courses from the start. In fact the day kicked off with two rigs rolling at the same time in there first run. I checked the scores before I left. Billy and I where holding our own and we would have made it in to the shootout in 4th but I snapped my pinion gear in half on a bonus line on the last course and with me not finishing that bumped us to 5th of 7 and only the top 4 made the shootout. My front diff locked up and we had to pull my axles and drive shaft to get me back on the trailer. All in all it was still a great day of wheeling and I can't wait to do it again!

    I suck at pictures and got none so if you have anything, post it up.
