Anyone have any experience with those RCV shafts? The are a sh1t-ton of cash, but if they are really as awesome as they say they are it might be worth saving for them.

Randy, I think I have one of those disconnect axles for you. If I can find it I'll bring it to the post-holiday party.
I'm also looking for a passenger side one-piece axle for a trail spare.

Yes, please post or send details.

Thanks, but they are load range D.

I'm not in a tearing hurry to get rid of these, but I am somewhat flexible on the price.

Sold, thanks Josh

You didn't mention it, but that black twill stuff rocks. It's about $100 more than the sailcloth, but it's warmer, cooler and significantly quieter. I got mine because I received a pretty big gift certificate last year, but after using it I'd buy another if I had to replace it.

Paypal sent for my guest. Thanks

I drove home from Raush Creek with these (about 2 hours) a few weeks ago. That said, these are old tires. I've got a set of MT/R's coming on Monday to replace them.

Would help to move these faster if tire size was listed....Doh! Thanks, fixed the title.

Looks like you have a few extras. Would you be willing to part with one as a spare? Low tread and rash is fine as long as it would get me home. Let me knowIf the set doesn't move I will.

The tires were purchased in October of 2013 and have just over 20,000 miles. The were rotated at every 5,000 miles and are wearing evenly with between 10 and 11/32 of tread remaining, they were 15/32 when new. The wheels are in nice driver-quality condition with a few marks in the paint, but nothing major. No plugs, patches leaks or issues of any kind. These wheels and tires never saw a trail, but I've been on a few unimproved roads in New England. The spare is an almost new 265/70R16 so it's a little shorter than the other four. It was my spare when I ran 265's and I didn't replace it when I bought the other four.
This one is the spare:

Set of 4 wheels and tires with trail spares. All the wheels have lots of rock rash, but run true. The tires were purchased new around 2007, but there is no date code on the DOT numbers so I don't know their exact age. Roughly five years ago I stopped running them on the street and used them exclusively on the trail. I siped the tires when they were new (by hand) and refreshed them last year. The tread measures from 8/32 to 14/32, but most are right about 10/32. The four I last used at Rausch Creek have no plugs, patches or leaks, but the spares all have issues:
o The spare with the like-new tread, has a hole in the sidewall and the trail repair I did leaks
o The spare with the average tread, leaks around the bead
o The last one blew out on the highway on the way back from Rausch -
Sorry guys, I'm out. We got home way too late and I'll never get packed and up in time.

How about pictures and location?

You can put me and my better half down for a maybe. We'd love to check out Anthracite, but we will be coming back from Maine on Xmas day so I'm not sure what shape we will be in when we make it home. We're down for black and blues.

Wow, that is one helluva tread on those. They appear to be designed quite specifically as mudders. They seem narrower than you might want for the rocks.I've been a fan of pizza cutters for years.
no personal experience with those, but if you want rock performance, a major thing to look at is tread compound. Thats likely more important than tread depth. A softer "stickier" is key to gripping on the rocks. When you buy a drag slick you can pick your compound and balance traction and longevity. I've never seen any specs on road tire compounds other than people's opinions.
Gotta ask too... Is this a trail only rig?
Skinny, bias, no siping... Would be bad in rain or slick weather on the road. No, it's a street/trail Jeep, but I have a dedicated set of trail tires so I'm not too concerned with their street manners.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

I'm about to replace my trail tires (33 x 10.50 BFG Mud Terrain's) and love the idea of almost a full inch of tread depth and a bias-ply tire. The only issue I've had with the BFG's is that I lost a few sidewalls. I try to avoid mud, more interested in how the climb on the rocks. Thanks.
