windshield hinge change out

  • I'm trying to change out my hinges but the bolts that go to the lower half (body) keep spinning. Is there a trick or just nuts up inside the cowl?

  • I can't recall if there are nuts in the cowl from the factory or if it's a threaded insert. You'll need to reach behind the cowl and feel around. If it's nutted then you'll need to put a wrench on it (probably 9/16 or the metric equivalent). If it's a threaded insert, drill the bolts out and put a nut behind the cowl.
