Hey guys. What is the actual difference between YJ dana 30's and TJ 30's. I know one has leaf perches and the other has coil and link brackets. I know the YJ's have disconnects. I don't need to know the obvious. What about the differential and gear sets are different and aren't they interchangeable. I blew up the spiders in a 02 TJ. I have a spare 92 YJ complete axle assembly in the yard. It looks like I should be able to pull the spiders outa the 92 and put them in the 02. Thooughts and feelings please. Thanks in advance

The ring and pinion have different part numbers, but the carrier and spiders are the same from 91-06.
So you should be fine to do what you wanna do.Hope this helps

YJ are high pinion and are reverse cut.
TJ are low pinion and standard cut.
Not really sure about the spiders.

Spiders should be the same 90-06. 87-89 are listed as a different number, compared to 90-06. So, youre 92 spiders should work for your 02 (depending on wear).
For fun... compare part numbers
