They do make wiring adapters for factory harness to most radios.....try using Google, I'm looking now, but not much luck

I would second getting an adapter. They are a few bucks, but make it easier and it'll be a much cleaner job.
Plus if you want to put the stock radio back in it's a snap.Should be able to get them from Crutchfield
