yj bestop problems

    just bought another yj off a friend of mine and with all this rain i go out side to find this top holding a million gallons of water on the top which covers the front portion. let alone the roof is noisy as heck flapping around while driving. i extended the bars out as far as theyll go so not sure how to get the top tighter? are these tops just junk or what? hate to have to buy a different top. lol

    jeep sat a while so not sure if snow or rain sitting on there maybe stretched it out?

    the stock YJ top isn't that adjustable. But, even the newer style hardware (on TJs and Supertops) has that problem to an extent.


    Rather than buying a Supertop... have you thought of using this? http://www.quadratec.com/products/11020_302.htm

    That thing is the cheesiest thing to every come from skid row. 4 stainless bandclamps, some boat hardware and a piece of flat bar.

    When I replaced the top on my 93 I got the Sailcloth Replace a top less flap warmer and never had a problem with water. My bikini top on the other hand holds about 3 gallons LOL.
