How do you clean and lube up the zippers for a soft top windows? I saw this on Q-Tec, MOPAR® Sof Top Zipper Cleaner & Lubricant. But was wondering is any home products would work fine.
Zipper Lube

NAPA sells some - on the wall near the RTV. I heard some folks use a bar of soap too.

I have a really slick silicone lube, didn't think about trying it on my stuck zipper though.

I just looked around somemore and it seems a lot of people use candle wax, bees wax, or chap stick. Recommended to stay away from Vaseline and silicone because they can be to greasy and get dirt, dust, and gunk up. I think I'm going to try the candle wax first and see how that works.

Interesting. I also have cleanser to clean off the lube

What???? I'm being serious!!! And my back window is stuck so I'm willing to try!
I have another lube that's not silicone, I wonder if it would be better. Plus it's a gel so it's not runny.

FWIW I've got 2 that I use for chain lube on my MTB but have found work well on top zippers as well:
http://www.blastergroup.com.au/garage-door-lubricant.html
http://www2.dupont.com/Consume…_US/products/dryfilm.htmlBoth are dry film lubricants and work pretty well...

Being a hard-top owner, I've never had to mess with the zippers, but I've always heard that the dry garage door chain lube works great. It has to be the dry lube so it doesn't attract dirt and clog it all up.
