anyone with a 4.2l in a yj/cj (with power steering) can do me a favor??? i have gathered some parts for converting mine to power steering. but it seems im missing a bracket and a bolt or 2. next time u r under the hood, take a peek at your power steering pump for me.
\question 1- is there a bracket on the back side of the pump that bolts up to the manifold? (firewall side)
question 2- it seems there is a "slider" type of adjustment on the pump used to tension the belt. and it needs some sort of long bolt through the front bracket... confirm or deny??

Question 1. Yes there is a bracket.
Question 2. The long bolt through the front bracket is not relevant to tension adjustment. There is a common bolt in the front and separate bolt in the back. IIRC.
I have a manual. I can scan the adjustment info. and post it or e-mail it to you.
This is, of course, relative to the CJ. -
