pets at Cape Henlopen??

    i read the rules and I know I can take the dog to the campground (6ft leash) and I know the rules say no pets on swimming and sunbathing beaches between may 1 and sept whatever. does anyone know if you can drive onto the beach at cape henlopen with your dog? or do they count as swimming and sunbathing? I am planning to take our nephew this friday and saturday and i was thinking about taking the dog too....
