Hey All just a few questions on deer hunting in delaware. Are there any public land in new castle county to hunt on??? And what are the deer seasons here?? Ive hunted for many years in South Jersey, but since i moved here i really have had no time and now i have an itch to go out.

You can go to retail places like Walmart, Kmart, Eastern Marine, etc. and pick up your licenses or you can order/print them online...

As far as public land there are places open during the different seasons. Also some of the State Parks such as Lums Pond and White Clay Creek run "permit only" hunting seasons. Only difference with the parks is they only give out a set number of permits and you have to pick them up at the park offices. They also have stricter rules n regs as they are open to public use during the hunting seasons too. Since those places are more convenient (and DE so small) you'll find them a little harder to get stands on weekends or during certain seasons. Here's a good link for maps to state lands and hunting areas:

Let me know if you want to check out a few areas. I haven't been able to get out hunting yet this year but I got the itch as well.
A few of us here like to hunt. Here's a link that Hookedonthebay started. A few deer have been taken already. -
