I put a 4.0 head on my 258/4.2 block that was in my 1980 CJ7, liked the idea of MPFI. I also bolted a '95 TF-999 out a YJ behind the 258. Setup works great. Grab flywheel and torque converter. Also if you have a manual in your jeep now DO NOT forget to REMOVE the pilot bushing/bearing from the end of the crank.
Also grab one with the factory kickdown cable and brackets off the intake. If you plan to drive on highway.
