Hope everyone is doing great.
I just wanted to reach out and see if anyone has any tips for replacing the dreaded leaking oil cooler on a 3.6 Pentastar. Mine has been leaking for a bit and I planning to do the fix one of these days. I know it's a bit involved but seems better that a $1000 - $1500 shop bill. Lots of vids on YT about it but I figured I'd ask before I tear into this motor. Just thought I'd ask. Thanks, GAP
it's actually quite easy, just make sure you have all the o-rings seated properly, take your time, ive done many of them
I appreciate the response. Any suggestion on the replacement part? I believe that the doorman part is better than the factory (or the Chinese) one on ebay.
oh and one more question please. Is it easier to drain the coolant in order to lower the level or to pinch the coolant line? I've seen it done both ways in the write ups but was hoping to get a firsthand account. Many thanks!
i drain the coolant, also i only use MOPAR stuff, its the best quality
