Remember I said I had no brake lights?
Well I pulled the insterment cluster to check the brake wire plug. It was connected properly.
Then I started thinking what else it could be
I have LED rear lights so they are not burnt out.
The fuse could be burnt 
I didn't check the fuse
Guess what YUP it was burnt.

Now thats the hard one.Remember this donor Jeep was in an accident. the impact may have resulted in a short in the light harness.
I did not use his light harnes so I hope mine is OK
