Looking good! May have missed it but what auto trans is going in?

We put an AW4 in out of a Cherokee. Got the RadDesigns shifter kit for it to control it electronically.

we recently replaced the cat on mine and added a muffler. It was a little too loud before hand. Picked a universal cat from pepboys. Installed with some flex pipe

Looks good. You have a down stream O2 though so I could see it being needed. What spintech is that. I picked a 9000 series because of the size and going with a 2.5 in and 2.25 out to create a little back pressure like the cat that was there.

The after-cat O2 sensors are only there to check to see if the cats are working by comparing O2 before and after the cats. They throw a code if the cats need to be replaced.

They will also lean the mixture and make it run like crap. Sounds like the consensus is removing the last one won't matter since there is no O2 sensor after it.

I don't think you need it if no O2 sensors after it. I would still recommend a tail pipe, here's why. My first Jeep was a CJ8. The exhaust after the muffler fell off. I left it that way, with a half cab, it would pass imspection. Guess where the frame started to rust, yep, right above the end of my exhaust system. TJ's are getting a reputation like CJ's to have frame rust issues, it just seems like it is not taking as long for TJ's to have issues as it did CJ's. All the condensation built up and started sped up the rusting.
A dump will also stir up more dust on a dry trail that a rear exit pipe. The guys behind you might appreciate that also.

It's a trail only rig. It's getting dumped. Mine is and it doesn't make any difference with dust. Tires stir plenty up.

As of last weekend the axles are assembled and she holds her own weight. We modified the original grill hoop for the narrower frame and bent a stinger. The grill is also permenantly attached and a buddy is welding tabs to the new aluminum radiator.

The psc - p-pump with their pulley moves the ram and my 40's with ease. The 6.5" is a pretty standard size for that pump. The jeep tc pump needs to spin faster.

Turns out the TJ pulley won't fit anyway. The bore is too small to press on. My YJ pulley had fit just fine so I had assumed the TJ was the same. Oh well, time to order a bunch of stuff anyway.

Working on the exhaust on Not BlueJ and we need to build a custom exhaust to clear the 4 link. It's a 2002 and has the 2 pre cats in the header along with the O2 sensors. I don't need to mess with these. The third cat underneath is in the way. It doesn't have an O2 sensor after it so it shouldn't effect engine performance is I remove it.

    Am I wrong?

Mines a 97 so this probably won't fit or I would have taken it off your hands

I thought the difference was just in the cross over pipe. The newer tj had two cats in the header and the pre 2000 did not. Cat still ended up in the same place. Maybe I'm wrong

    The cat looks like this...

Good shape Borla Cat back system. It wasn't on BlueJ long but it isn't going to work well with the 4-link we built. I'm missing the one clamp (was removed a year ago and I can't remember where it went, I will keep looking) and the tip is pinched a lil bit from a rock but it sounds good. The borla exhaust paired with a K&N intake nets over a 12hp gain on the dyno. The pictures make the pipe look rusty but its all stainless and just discolored from heat and a little dirty.

Cleaned the rear bearings and installed new seals so the disks are now mounted. The rear calipers should be delivered tomorrow. Had to clearance the passenger Reid knuckle for the caliper bracket to fit. Need to get some inner spindle seals before I can mount the spindles. I thought I had a couple but can't find them. I also mounted the master cylinder and we cut the spacers for the power steering pump bracket.

I'm trying to decide if we should run the factory power steering pulley (5.25 inch) or get the PSC pulley (6.5 inch). Seems to me the factory one would keep the pump spinning faster and the pressure up at lower rpm. Any thoughts?

Also welded in the rear cross member with a suck down winch mounted to it and tighten down all the control arm bolts.

Not too bad for only being in the shop 3 hours. Sorry no pictures today. Maybe I can run out a d snap a few this evening after all the kid activities finish. There probably won't be and progress this week as my wife is traveling so I have the baby and 5 year old.
